The name recalls Prince Amedeo di Savoia, wounded in 1866 during the Third War of Independence at the Cavalchina, just as the slate stone at the entrance of the company attests.

Harvest: Only the best grapes are selected and harvested strictly by hand following their different ripening periods. Years of experience have shown the best way to obtain a white with superior expressiveness and shelf life.
Vinification: The vinification takes into consideration the different nature of the vines. The semi-aromatic character of Fernanda has found full expression in the vinification after freezing the grapes: the grapes, after being harvested in small boxes and placed in the freezer until they reach -10 / 12 ° C, are brought back to 0 ° C about and pressed with the stalks. The ice on the peel causes the cells of the epithelium to break and the consequent release of the known characteristics of the grape. The slender but strong personality of Garganega has found perfect expression with a slightly reduced vinification that favors the development of the mineral hints typical of the grape. Instead, the neutral but full-bodied character of Trebbiano and Trebbianello require a more traditional approach to support the olfactory traits of Fernanda and Garganega. The musts, after clarification by static decantation, are fermented at 16/17 ° C. The fundamental work to achieve the desired level of quality is the management and handling of the fine lees. Malolactic fermentation is avoided.
The cuvée takes shape at the end of May and, after a few months of bottle aging, the wine is available from September.
Organoleptic characteristics: Amedeo is dense, broad, deep and expressively balanced. Complex on the nose with hints of exotic fruit but at the same time fresher notes of flowers and citrus. It is an extremely long wine on the palate and which improves over the years. It does not fear combinations with important foods.
